Gauze pads are an important component in the medical industry. After being sewn and processed, these gauze pads are not only soft but also highly absorbent and easily detectable during use. Gauze pads come in a wide variety of specifications, making them even more convenient to use.
The strength testing of gauze pad packaging includes indicators such as tensile strength of packaging materials, peel strength of composite films, heat-sealing strength, tear resistance, and puncture resistance. Tensile strength refers to the maximum stress value that a material can withstand before breaking. By conducting these tests, we can effectively address issues caused by insufficient mechanical strength of selected packaging materials, which might otherwise lead to package damage and rupture under external forces. Peel strength, also known as composite strength, measures the adhesion between layers in a composite film. If the adhesive strength is too low, layers are prone to delamination during packaging use, potentially resulting in leaks and other problems. Heat-sealing strength assesses the strength of the seal; if this strength is too low during product storage and transportation, it may cause the seal to crack and lead to leakage of the contents. Puncture resistance is an indicator used to evaluate the packaging's ability to withstand penetration by hard objects.
