The correct way to wear disposable medical masks

Gauze masks are used in many places. So, how can we wear them comfortably and correctly? Let’s learn together!
Position the nose clip facing upward and hold the respirator gauze mask against your chin. If there are two head straps, place the upper strap across the top of your head, and loop the lower strap over the top of your head, positioning it at the back of your neck just below your ears. If there’s only one head strap, simply place it across the top of your head. Make sure the respirator gauze mask covers both your mouth and nose, and also extends down to cover your chin. Looking in a mirror can help you adjust the mask’s position on your face.
Place the tips of both hands on top of the metal nose clip. If there’s no metal nose clip, there’s no way to adjust it. Using both hands, press the nose clip firmly against your nasal bridge and shape it according to the contours of your nose. Using just one hand to pinch the nose clip will result in a poor seal and reduce its protective effectiveness. It’s essential to use both hands when adjusting the nose clip.
After putting on the respiratory protective gauze mask each time, you must check its airtightness. The inspection consists of two steps. First, completely cover the respiratory protective mask with both hands and then take a quick inhale to see whether the mask fits snugly against your face around the edges. Next, completely cover the respiratory protective mask with both hands and exhale. Be careful not to shift the position of the respiratory protective gauze mask during this process. If you notice air leaking near the bridge of your nose during either of these steps, re-adjust the nose clip according to the method described in Step 5. If you find air leaking from around the edges of the mask, adjust the head straps to a more rearward position.
